Mark 2:3-9 Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.” And some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, “Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but God alone?" But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”
When Jesus saw their faith...
Faith is not a matter of the heart. A person should look at you and see faith. Faith is not, "I believe." It's an act and it's a heart that knows and knows that God is faithful. Faith makes God forgive you, not repentance. Repentance without faith is fake.
The first problem with healing is that it's been taught the wrong way. Because we've been taught to receive or to know healing from the dimension of men, we've frustrated the hand of God and we've closed ourselves off from the power of God.
God can't heal someone that doesn't want to be healed. Faith is an act of a man/woman who receives the word of God and stores it in his heart and lives by it. The problem is you memorize scripture but you haven't allowed it to enter your heart. ASK YOURSELF: Is The WORD in your heart, or is it in your mind?
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The word of God always wants to become flesh. When the word of God enters your heart it becomes part of you (flesh). It becomes your reality. The issue is, you've looked at healing, deliverance, or the hand of God from man's perspective and not from God's perspective.
A Christian's duty is to believe Jesus.
If you base healing on your ability to believe, you have failed. BELIEVE JESUS! In everything He came to do. We have no ability to do anything and He has the ability to do everything. When Jesus wanted to heal people, he simply asked... "Do you believe that I can heal you?"
JESUS SAW their ability to do everything to get to Him (paralytic man and his four men). JESUS KNEW these guys can receive healing.
DO YOU KNOW WHO JESUS IS? Only Jesus is the healer. Not self healing. Believe in His ability to heal. To receive healing is easy, according to Jesus. Is anything too hard for God? To Jesus, healing is EASY. That's what He proves in Mark 2:3-9.
10 REASONS WHY HEALING IS YOURS:
It's the will of God. He has decided that's what He wants for you.
God is able to heal you. You can decide to do something, but do you have the ability to carry it out? God is able.
You are Abraham's seed. If you're sick you cannot carry out the will of God, lend to nations, etc. God doesn't heal the world, He wants to heal Abraham's seed. Jesus came to die for Abraham's seed. Healing is guaranteed. Ex: Luke 13:10-17
Jesus took on our sickness and infirmities. When you have sickness and you're a descendant of Abraham, there's a contradiction in the spirit why you're still claiming something that should never be on you in the first place.
Jesus suffered so we didn't have to. When people sue, they don't only sue for the damages but also for pain and suffering. Jesus took on the pain AND suffering. The evidence of true healing and deliverance, is suffering becomes a thing of the past.
God has guaranteed it by breaking the body of Jesus. He didn't only take it on and suffer, but His body was broken. By His stripes, we're healed. When they were beating Jesus... the blood coming out was every sickness leaving Him. Every time there's birth, there's blood. Jesus was whipped unrecognizable. When He was crowned with thorns, everything connected to mental issues, emotional confusion, were leaving.
You are no longer under the curse of sin. The problem is we've been taught to be more sin conscious than grace conscious. We haven't understood the reason why Jesus died. It's to remove us from the curse of sin. 99% of the reason why there is sickness is because of the curse of sin. Especially the very dangerous diseases, are usually connected to sin. Jesus looked at the paralytic man and said, "my son, take courage, your sins have been forgiven." He didn't tell him, "you will be forgiven." Jesus tells him to be happy as he alerts him to the reality and consciousness of God.
You are not condemned. The greatest evangelist of Satan is condemnation. Some don't have confidence to receive from God, because you love condemnation. Yet God declares, if you are in Him, you are not condemned. When in Christ, we aren't sinners. God doesn't call us sinners. We just make mistakes, growing in grace. The things we highlight, he sees them as petty. You are not condemned.
You are forgiven, your sin is blotted out. God literally gave himself amnesia when it comes to you. You aren't only free from the curse of sin and free from condemnation, but he's also wiped out your sin. It's not even there anymore. The blood of Jesus erased all the bad parts of your life. No archives.
You are born again.
Psalm 103 - Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
You can't stop God from healing you, if you're surrendered in His hands. You'll not only be healed, you'll be delivered.
